Country of origin: Australia
An elegant wine which blends succulent cassis and plum flavours with chocolate and liquorice characters and hints of spearmint and spice. The fruit was sourced from premium, low-cropping vineyards in the Barossa and Coonawarra regions of South Australian. The rich blend is left for 16 months to mature and enhance the complexities of two great varieties.
Food pairing: Great with slow braised lamb or Beef bourguignon.
Palate: A concentrated wine with flavours of blackcurrant, chocolate and mint. The fine tannin structure, subtle oak flavours and succulent fruit finish have given rise to a premium wine with great length, depth and persistence.
Aroma: Aromas of blackcurrant and chocolate are balanced by hints of tobacco and spice from the oak.
Cellaring: This wine is drinking well now but can be cellared for the next 5-10 years.
