Tasting Notes
Nose: good, fairly aromatic in the modern style of sherry seasoned casks. Red berries, baked banana, hints of sawdust and vanilla. Some candied orange peel and raisins. Light leathery notes as well.
Mouth: similar, with a good dose of sherry. Raisins and oranges. Plenty of toasted wood spices too: pepper, ginger, nutmeg, slightly overpowering perhaps including a slightly bitter edge. Roasted nuts and hints of gingerbread. Lacks a bit of fruit here.
Finish: medium, warming spices but also cocoa and more fruity notes now.
